Pretty little vacation town. I took the drive down there because that is where my dentist is..... had to do the bi-annual visit , keep my pearlies.... Dentist there is well worth the hour drive for me.... great dentist.

Almost bought a house in Peachland, but then I considered the bridge, and how many times I would want to go into Kelowna proper.

I do like Peachland a lot, saying that, a certain "chippy" which we still haven't sampled yet & the Gasthaus had me convinced!

On top of that, the whole place has a nice feel about it!

But for practical purposes (you have to leave for almost every need-except the Dentist LOL), and high taxes (no commercial tax base), I wouldn't choose to live there. Great place for a quiet vacation though (stayed at Tod's Tent Town a couple of times) Really nice walk along beach avenue. Sad to see the condo's popping up :(. Have been in the Gasthaus once, was good, and stopped there with our boat once, forgot something at home so we stopped for the store.

I totally agree about living there, but would treat it as a nice get-away for a couple of weeks. The front street (as I call it) ... just seems like a pleasant area for tourists.
