Can anyone recommend a decent butcher?

Post by manchesterchick » Sat Jun 20, 2009 8:50 pm

Yes, another food related quuestion :thumbup , do I ever post about anything else :wink
We are going to be over on the westside soon and wondered if there was a decent 'real' butcher over that end.
Over this end we have tried and really like 'Johnnys' for meat , and wondered was there anything similar.
I am rather partial to fresh ground turkey, but unless it is "air chilled" we have found it quite hard to come by.
Anyone over the westside got any tips? :thin
:bye

I take it no butchers on the Westside then, I must brush up on my slicing skills :grin

There is "Cooks" Meats across from the TD bank next to Wine Kitz. I think you will find everything you want there as he does his own smoking as well. He is what you would call a full service butcher.

MMMMM Johnny's....

I would say the best in OK by far... I only shop there and it drives my girlfriend nuts because I will drive for there fresh cut steaks.

Johnny's opened another location on KLO and Benvoulin.... So that is closer then rutland perhaps it's worth the drive?

Cheers,

Danny
