Hi
Just new to the site so thought we would introduce ourselves. We visited the area on a week long fact finding holiday in BC and loved it. RAy, a self-employed carpenter in England, secured a job as a carpenter for a large construction company in Penticton and we, along with our youngest 17 year old son Jack, have PR status. We have two older children who have flown the nest, but hope to apply to join us once we are settled. Jack is a member of the British Alpine Ski Team and though we wanted him to stay here with us, he wants to do another season with the Team and then take it from there. WE will be leaving Fulmer, England at the end of September to start our new life but we have a million questions to ask, the first being where do you find unfurnished houses to rent? All we can see to rent is vacation properties? We will want to buy eventually but want to rent for at least 6 months first.
If anyone can point us in the right direction we would really appreciate it.
Cheers
Ray and Gill

Hi Ray & Gill
to A-OK!
If you look at the top of the forum, you'll see a series of buttons for the different functions of the forum. One of the buttons is for the local newspapers for Vernon, Kelowna & Penticton. Browsing the classified section of the newspaper might net you a few leads for rental accommodations in the area. If you Google rental links for Kijiji, Craigslist and rentBC you might find some more listings. I think there are other links listed in the Research or Leisure sections here - the search function on the site will hopefully pull up a few for you.

Hi Gill
I came across a couple more websites for rental housing that might be helpful to you ....
http://www.rentsline.com/penticton/
http://kelowna.oodle.com/housing/rent/- ... penticton/
I've included the Penticton links... I think that's where you're looking to live?
