August media release from Okanagan Mainline Real Estate Board (OMREB) pertaining to the North Okanagan:
North Zone (Predator Ridge to Enderby): Overall sales for August in the North Zone were up 21.1% compared to 2011 to 149 units valued at $48.6 million from 123 at $39.7 million). Total residential sales for August improved 31.1% over
last year (135 valued at $45.2 million versus 103 at $34.2 million). Single family homes saw a 62.5% leap over 2011 (78 units compared to 48), and townhouse sales jumped 37.5% (to 22 from 16). Year-to-date unit sales for 2012 improved 10.2% compared to activity during the same period last year (to 1,030 valued at $348.4 million from 935 at $329.5 million). Inventory during August was down slightly from last year (‐1.3% at 2,637 compared to 2,672), while the 322 new listings taken for the month dropped by 14.8% from 378 in 2011.

North Zone (Predator Ridge to Enderby): Overall sales for September in the North Zone were up marginally (1.6%) but sales volumes dipped 2.2% compared to 2011 to 125 units valued at $39.9 million from 123 at $40.8 million. Total residential sales for September improved 4.6% over last year (113 valued at $37.6 million versus 108 at $33.8 million).
Single family homes rose 28.6% over 2011 (63 units compared to 49), and townhouse sales were up 46.2% (to 19 from 13). YTD unit sales for 2012 were up 9.2% compared to activity during the same period last year (to 1,155 valued at $388.4 million from 1,058 at $370.4 million). Single family residential sales showed the greatest improvement YTD – up 21.5% to 610 units compared to 502 during the first nine months of 2011. Inventory for September was down slightly from last year (‐2.8%) at 2,501 compared to 2,574, while the 288 new listings taken for the month dropped by 6.5% from 308 in 2011.

to 2011 to 135 units valued at $43.2 million from 107 at $32.2 million. Total residential sales for October
improved 27.1% over last year (122 valued at $38.9 million versus 96 at $28.8 million). Single family homes
rose 38.9% over 2011 (75 units compared to 54), and townhouse sales were up 11.8% (to 19 from 17). Year-to-date
unit sales for 2012 were up 10.7% compared to activity during the same period last year (to 1,290 valued at
$431.6 million from 1,165 at $402.6 million). Single family residential sales showed the greatest improvement YTD
– up 23.2% to 685 units compared to 556 during the first 10 months of 2011. Inventory for October was down slightly
from last year (‐3.5%) at 2,306 compared to 2,390, while the 254 new listings taken for the month dropped by
21.4% from 323 in 2011.
