Kelowna is now the most unaffordable place in Canada (based on salary and house prices). Kelowna is 13th, Vanouver is 15th and Victoria was 22nd when compared to other countries included in the report.

OOOH how depressing. Especially as we are hoping to move and buy a house right away in June/July/August time!!!!!!
However, compared to what we have here in the UK you get a lot more bang for your buck in Kelowna.
I sold my previous house in Kaleden 2 1/2 years ago - if only I'd had a crystal ball I would have hung onto it!!!!!!
Oh well.........

ahh dont' let it depress you...that is just figures and surveys...plenty of people moving and out of those areas...plenty or real estate still available.
some people love a certain area and will pay anything to live there
back in australia...for instance my brother and his partner have a very very expensive apartment ......however they love the lifestyle..the views and whilst they agree it is expensive they wouldnt' move for anything..except to maybe LA..or NY...which could be on the cards...
sooo it is an individual thing aswell....

Well, I don't know whether it is wishful thinking on my part but things seem to be slowing down a little in the Lower Mainland. Of course, I don't have the figures property is selling for but I am starting to see a few "reduced" notices around.
