Hello there,
My partner and I (both Australian, early 20s) are planning to work/live in Canada for a couple of years. We have our heart set on working in the Okanogan valley in a winery; whether it be working in a restaurant, bar, cellar door, picking fruit. We are a little in the dark in terms of how to apply for these kind of jobs? We would also of course need accommodation and are on a budget; has anyone got any recommendations on the more affordable towns in the Valley?
We are planning to arrive mid/late July and would love to stay for at least a year before moving on to work in the snow.
We both have over 5 years experience working in wineries in the Yarra Valley, Victoria, Australia (experience in restaurant, cellar door, working vintage, etc.)
Thank you so much for your time!

Re: Job in a winery
Hi shellnick and welcome to the forums!
You have picked the right place, if you have your heart set on the wine industry, as we are surrounded by wineries in the Okanagan Valley (especially in the South Okanagan).
Here is one example of a current winery vacancy in Mission Hill Winery in West Kelowna (just to give you an idea of what's our there).

Hope it at least gives you a starting point,
All the best!
