Re: Employment Links
This may be a helpful job search site? (I've placed IT and British Columbia in the deafult search)
http://www.eluta.ca/search?order=rank&q ... ius=50&qc=
All the best.

Re: Employment Links
I have just found http://www.simplyhired.ca - this site trawls the other employment sites and gives you all the info in one hit
(ok, I am sure it doesn't trawl ALL the job vacancy sites, but it does a few).
Hope this helps

Re: Employment Links
Hi All
Yes, I have been hiding a bit since the calamity of a rogue employer has scuppered our emmigration efforts. Hey ho. It happens.
Anyways, I was wondering how many of you are linked up to the newsletter from Canadavisa.com?. They are immigration lawyers, and thought I have never used / cannot vouch for them / am not plugging them - their newsletter is a fabulous source of information. Did you know that in the next election, there are plans afoot to make the journey of the average migrant a lot easier, and...and this is pure magic ...... their Canada job tool (http://www.canadavisa.com/career_zone/c ... search.htm) is fantastic.
Whereas I had been doing the usual jobbank, web search and local newspaper searches, this links all the employer sites and gives a really good range of jobs. Instead of the small trickle I had been finding, this shows copious opportunities!
Yay!
With the opportunities available, I AM GLAD (never thought I'd hear myself say that) that the 'island' job fell through - as in hindsight, I think it would have been very limiting.
So, on that note, I am a much happier bunny and off to watch 'Hairspray' for the third time this weekend as it cheers me up (and Hannah likes dancing round the floor with Mummy ).
So, all good
Hugs to all

Re: Employment Links
And for those of us on Android, I have found the "Indeed" employment app really useful - just speciafy Okanagan, Canada and it trawls the sites for you :-)
