Telephone Interviews

Post by ourdaywillcome » Wed Aug 13, 2008 1:43 pm

I just completed my first ever telephone interview. :canflag

They are genuinely an experience.

You don't realise how much one relies on visual feedback - it has advantages and disadvantages not knowing how ur response is being recieved. You tend to carry on regardless! The non-visual thing is good in terms of if you get nervous :duh you can have notes as a sort of comfort blanket but to be honest if you are going to flow they are not gonna get much use!

otherwise i suppose they are the most effective way of accessing jobs in the Okanagan - although I had applied (whilst in a specialist low demand area for all relevant jobs) since winter 2005 - this was first interview - adding to the Pressure!

Not overly confident of the result as I won't hear until mid-month - keep you posted and regardless of result will seek feedback that I can also post if helpful?

Meantime keep ur fingers toes and ears crossed for me!

:) :) :)
