Sounds interesting. I actually got confirmation, that the company is flying me in on Aug. 16th for a 3 day interviewing and Look/see trip so I will get to see some for my self.
We are actually pretty excited and I think we will take the job if it materializes (I am guessing that my chances are good, if they are spending the money to fly me in).
The big question for us is if we would want to live in Salmon Arm or commute from Vernon, which is almost 4 times the size.
Thanks again for all the links and info. Will keep you updated on what happens.
P.S. fluffy, do you actually live in Salmon Arm?

No, sir mhhp, I currently live in Penticton but have visited Salmon Arm a number of times, mostly for musical events. The annual Salmon Arm Roots & Blues Festival is fast becoming a world class event. It's nice there, they still hold on to a bit of their former small-town charm, but like everywhere in the Okanagan, that is getting harder and harder to find. The condo/big-box/fast-food influence grows daily.

Here is a picture of the Salmon Arm Wharf. Looks really nice, so I thought I would share it with you.

Yes in fact I have been in with lady mhhp. We really loved the area and the scenery and recreation possibilities are endles.
We compared to Vernon and our feel was that SA offers almost the same infrastructure, but in a much more relaxed small town setting and the Shuswap is much greener which we really liked.
Seems to me that one of the only problems will be finding a house there, as the market is quite limited.
Well, we will see.... the final decission will be soon, I hope. I will let you all know, when things become definite.
Thanks for all your help.

sir mhhp, I'm curious - how do you pronounce your name: emaichaichpee, or perhaps, mehehep?

It is Aramaic I provide the consonants and you get to pick the vouls as you like.
My version is actually:
emhahape
with the ha pronaounced mor like an o as in hot and the pe pronounced like in pest.
guess that may have been more reply than you were asking for LOL

Not at all. It was exactly what I asked. Neither of my proposed pronunciations were correct.
Now for the next question, if you wish to answer - What does it mean?
