Allison Lake Provincial Park and Around!

We recently had family visiting, so took a drive around (as you do) to show them the sights. We had a lovely day - drove down to Penticton, across through Hedley and then up highway 5a, stopping in Princeton to buy lunch and then we ate it in the picnic area at Allison Lake Provincial Park, which was just stunningly beautiful!

So here are the pics! This is in Hedley, looking up the mountain towards the old Gold Mine. There's a funny little (and I mean little!) museum and gift shop, and there's also a bus that will take you up to tour the mine. We didn't do the mine tour but it might be fun for kids.

And this is the view of the lake from the picnic area at Allison Lake:

There was a pair of loons on the lake and we watched them as they fished. Very quiet and peaceful.

Nice shots, MC. Did you do the loop and come back on 97C?
