In introducing the Brocklehurst neighbourhood, please note that we are not familiar with the city and can only try to provide this information via research on the internet. We certainly welcome your input if you have knowledge of Kamloops!

Brocklehurst, also known as Brock, is located north west of the Kamloops city core on the valley bottom. In past, this area primarily contained orchards and is known to have large, flat lots, some ¼ acre or more in size. Many of the properties still have a variety of fruit trees in their yards. It is a well established area with some homes twenty plus years old, however, there are some areas of new development too. There are a variety of homes to choose from in Brocklehurst including single family homes (some with acreages or farms), townhouses, apartments, duplexes and mobile home parks. You’ll also find waterfront homes on 1/3 acre or larger lots.

Most local amenities can be found here including grocery and small retail stores, shopping centres, professional services and restaurants. Further shopping in North Kamloops is within a five to ten minute drive from this neighbourhood.

Brocklehurst has elementary, middle and senior secondary schools within its boundaries to attend to the educational needs of your children. They are Kay Bingham Elementary and Parkcrest Elementary for younger children – Brocklehurst Middle school and NorKam Senior Secondary for older children.

This neighbourhood is popular for hiking/walking trails and dog owners frequent the long stretch along the beach of the Thompson River beside the airport. The Kamloops airport is located in this area.
