Rental References
Can anyone tell me what sort of references are usually asked for when you want to rent a property?
Thanks

Re: Rental References
I've rented previously, but of course had someone local or a previous landlord that could vouch for me. Considering that you've owned your own home, perhaps something from the bank showing your mortgage is/was in good standing and the tenancy agreement with the tenant that will be renting it out (if you haven't sold). I don't think it would hurt to have your credit score available to show the new landlord (if it's good! ).
Hopefully others that have rented homes here will share their experience with you.

Hi Moops
Thanks for the info, that's a starting point for us.
If anyone else has any advice it would be much appreciated thanks, I'll add the suggestions to my list.
While I think of it, are credit references preferred from some uk credit check companies than others? I'm just wondering if all uk credit check companies are recognised in Canada?
Cheers
