McArthur Island

This trail is located off MacKenzie Avenue on the North Shore is flat, paved and wide enough to accommodate everyone including bikes and strollers. There are 2 loops on the McArthur Island trail to choose from - one is 2.3 km and the other is 3.1 km.

West Highlands Park

This paved Aberdeen neighbourhood trail offers sweeping views over the city and is great for the entire family. Bring along a picnic and stop at the covered area complete with table. It is well lit at night, making it a popular trail for gentle walks in the evening. The trail is 1.8km and takes approximately 30 minutes to walk.

Aviation Way - section of the Rivers Trail

This popular off-leash dog area is located near the airport and follows the berm along the river. The Rivers trail is quite extensive, but the flat, packed gravel surface makes for an easy stroll along the dyke.

Oakhills - section of the Rivers Trail

This section of the Rivers Trail is located in the Westsyde neighbourhood and is also flat, packed gravel. You'll see great views of the North Thompson Valley! Parking is available at the Westsyde Centennial Park.
