New to coupons

Postby Roo » Thu Jan 23, 2014 8:30 am

Hi

I'm pretty new to this coupon game, there are very rarely any coupons in the flyers that I get delivered, can you suggest ways to find more coupons?

Cheers

:wave Roo! I shared some of my tips in another thread in this section & what I do know I've picked up over this past year on the net and at arranged "coupon swaps". I remember when magazines had oodles of coupons, but I don't tend to see that as much anymore. Maybe some of the household related magazines like Canadian Living might have something. Walmart puts out a free magazine every month or two that has a number of coupons in it.

Other than the inserts, keep an eye open on the inside of product packaging & tear pads in grocery stores. Many manufacturers will send coupons to you if you contact them via email or by phone.

I find I'm saving some cash by price matching. Our local Walmart is accepting price matching across Canada - not all stores have adopted the same guidelines, so always best to check with their Customer Service Manager.

Thanks for the info

I've noticed the odd coupon tear pad and coupons on the inside of my laundry detergent boxes, though I haven't seen the magazines in Walmart yet, I may have to start visiting there more.
