Fraudulent coupons for those who do not know, are coupons that have been altered and falsified by someone, and knowingly distributed to others

with the intent of misuse and theft from retail stores and companies all for the joy of getting products for free(illegally) or at a very low cost.

Using fraudulent coupons hurts not only couponers but every consumer out there.

When coupons are misused the companies DO NOT get reimbursed for it.

Therefor the stores have to take a huge loss and therefore increase our prices all across the board to make up for a huge loss, If a thousand people used 10x $5 off fraudulant coupons each(Example in one city)in one store,

that would mean that this one store lost $50,000..multiply that by number of shoppers and stores across Canada.

The loss would be huge, and we are the ones that would pay for it. Are you really willing to have your prices go up higher?

Are you really willing to go without certain products because the prices were increased so much that you can no longer affor to purchase it.

Is it really worth it in the long run to lose our coupon priviledges, yes, it is a priviledge to have coupons because in reality,companies don't have to do this for us consumers. Couponing allows us to put extra food on our plates, in ours and our childrens bellies. Because of a few dishonest couponers, companies may stop issuing out such great coupons for us that we can save and also increase their revenues.

Stores will change their policies and some may not even permit coupons anymore because of fear of not being reimbursed, and losing more money, and therefore possibly shutting down. Then where would we be? If you are in possession of a fraudulent coupon(get rid of them) and are/or plan on using it, just so you know,It is classified as stealing whether you like to hear it or not.

Yes, it can happen that one may slip by us, but when in doubt , call the company, ask around, there are great site to inform you. Signs of a fraudulent coupon...If it looks altered in any way, DON'T USE IT

If the remit address is wrong . DON'T USE IT

it it is barely legible. DON"T USE IT or blurry that you cannot fully read it...DON'T USE IT.

If the date is expired....or has been altered..DON'T USE IT

IF it is of a high value(most printable are not) and it appears too good to be true... DON`T USE IT, believe that ...most printable are low value unless they come directly from the company.

Follow your gut, just because it looks good doesn't mean it is.

And if you are being told that it is a fake and you insist on using it, you can /and will be caught, banned from the store,have a criminal record and a very bad reputation,with family, co-workers, friends...is it really worth it?

We teach our children honesty, and couponing is part of our world, SO BE HONEST at couponing, the risk are far to great not to be honest.

COUPONING IS A PRIVILEDGE and NOT A RIGHT of passage to steal from your stores and companies. Think before you use that fraudulant coupon,

when in doubt ask.
