Tomorrow, 31st May, is Oyama Fun Day. It promises to be a great day out, especially for the kiddies.
They are kicking off with a pancake breakfast at 8am in the town of Oyama. There will also be a parade, Cow Pat bingo, a silent auction and a Burger Burn (or barbecue).

It's not what you think! It's a raffle - they mark out a grid pattern on the field. You 'buy' grids, and then they release the cows. If a cow 'pats' in your grid, you win!

Ahhhh, okay I get it now! (must have a word with the local farmer on the possibility of changing the cow's diet to a nice dozen curry pasties)

We found out about it when we were at Oyama Lake Alpaca Farm (great place for a family outing)!
The alpacas are going to be in the parade, and I understand they're very popular with the children.
