Sandy Beach Hotel

Siv' & I went to Osoyoos last week and stayed at the Sandy Beach Motel. Upon arrival, we were greeted
warmly by Toni and given a tour of the property. Each self-contained suite that we saw was up-to-date,
well equipped, comfortably furnished and very clean. We could easily see a family being comfortable in the
two bedroom suite that we stayed in - lots of room and most household amenities have been provided.

Since the early 60's, the motel has been a draw for families planning a summer vacation in Osoyoos. A few
years ago, the family owned operation rebuilt the resort accommodations and renovated the cabins. The
resort is beachfront and the buildings have been designed in a U formation to capture the lake and city views.

Be sure to check out their webcam here on A-OK!

Safari Beach Resort

We were also invited to see another resort located in a quiet residential area of Osoyoos.

This resort is operated by a very welcoming couple, Ron & Carol, who are intent in providing an enjoyable
stay for their customers. They make a point of not allowing "party animals" to stay in their resort, preferring
to cater to families.

We found that they had a range of accommodations to suit smaller or larger groups. All of the rooms have a lovely lake view, kitchen and the ground level rooms have BBQ's. They are located beside the marina, so very convenient for boat rentals!

Here is a list of some of their other ammenties...

2 heated pools
Roped off swimming area
Beach Volleyball
Free Wireless Internet
Boat moorage
Kids enjoy a nightly fire at our beachfront fire pit
Guest laundry
Over 30 barbeques onsite. All lower level units have barbeques on their decks

Thanks for all of these, they look great. A little out of the way but might be worth a visit to the area on our trip over

Hester Creek Winery -between Osoyoos and Oliver

A very nice place to stay at...but a little costly so beware!
I had the chance to stay in one of their rooms when they just opened originally last year. Now we must have caught an opening special because the rates were alot more affordable then as their current rates. Especially the high season rates, can make you tumble over and swollow a cork, but if anyone is looking for a very very VERY nice getaway for a couple of nites..this is the most beautiful place i have ever been too...and their homemade breakfast is just to die for!! I will try and post some pics over the next couple of days, but here is the link in the meantime.
But remember...sit down before looking at their current rates!!
