Are rising prices of okanagan properties (especially newly built home)expected to level off in the next couple of years?

Hi there,
Can't answer that one. We're looking now and have already missing out on one opportunity due to a fast-moving market. Spring/Summer is their busiest time, my agent tells me.

It may be that increases are not what they have been in the last few years. Apparently prices have more than doubled in five years.
We have thought about the Airport expansion, enabling direct flights from Europe; the price of oil bringing rich Albertan's in; more Brits moving here and the booming Okanagan economy in our mind there is only one way house prices are going. Better get in quick. I'm sure others on the site can tell you how much their properties have gone up in the last year.

Although I was informed by a contractor approx. 12 months ago, that it was to be expected that the climb in Real Estate would "level off" by 2008, I still can't see that as a reality in the current market growth.
As me's post above .... I would say that's spot on!!
